Luxembourg Garden triplex inspired by tribal art
Overview
Property tour
Original world art is the soul of this art collector’s two-bed, two-bath triplex at the edge of the Luxembourg Gardens. Packed with custom pieces, down to its hand-welded doorknobs, this is a residential museum of contemporary art.
An Oceanian-inspired dining room is host to your at-home dinners, and two bedrooms center around original oil paintings. Furniture doubles as art, as well, with a heart-shaped sofa looking onto a slate fireplace. Though the apartment’s compact and unique layout is not for everyone, those with an eye for art will find their Parisian home here.
Outside your doors is a spectacular medieval setting, with 300-year-old cobblestone streets and horse carriage alleys, bakeries sending the scent of fresh bread into the air, and, of course, the Luxembourg Gardens. Jog its manicured promenades, play a tennis match, or delight your younger guests with a show at the puppet theatre. Then return to your work-of-art accommodations to unwind.

The intimate venue reflects the privileged air of its neighborhood, with the peaceful charm of the beaux quartiers. The restaurant also feels delightfully secluded in its position on the short Rue Servandoni, its midnight blue facade standing out between the Église Saint Sulpice and the Jardin du Luxembourg. The interior feels light and airy with its white linen tablecloths and exposed stone walls.
