Are there any hidden costs?
All Paris Luxury Rentals prices are fully inclusive. There are no surprise fees, taxes or surcharges. The price you are quoted for your stay is the price you will pay.
This includes High-Speed Internet, heating, air-conditioning, gas, water, electric, sheets and towels.
Do I need to pack my own hairdryer or travel iron?
We provide in all of our properties provide iron, ironing board and hairdryer. If you have additional small appliances (such as curling irons, electric razors and the like) you will need to bring AC adaptors for the 220 volt current. European adaptors can be purchased at Radio Shack or similar retailer.
Can you recommend good restaurants in the neighborhood?
Upon arrival, a knowledgeable member of our staff, fluent in English, will be happy to direct you to the best neighborhood eateries, as well as markets, bakeries, and anything else that may be of interest to you during you stay. They will also provide a list of other go-see-dos in the area.
Can you help us if we are interested in an excursion a little farther afoot?
Your Paris Luxury Rentals representative can provide you with a list of excursions and rates. They can also tailor a tour for you as well as many other activities upon request.
Will I need to supply anything for cooking at ‘home’ in my rental?
Just the food! All our kitchens are fully outfitted with everything you would need to make a meal at home. All the basic equipment in provided, and in most cases, the appliances are high-end, and the cookware gourmet quality.
Will there be anything in the fridge when we arrive?
For a fee of $210 we will be happy to stock the fridge for you with the following items:
Lavazza coffee, fresh Poilane bread, cold cut meat (or charcuterie) selection, butter, jam, milk, a selection of French cheeses, fresh orange juice, San Pellegrino, eggs, croissants, pasta and rice. Are all your apartments centrally located and accessible via public transportation?
Yes. All Paris Luxury Rentals apartments are located in central Paris and thus very near to tourist attraction and business centers. Each apartment is no more than a five- minute walk to a Paris Metro Station, RER Station, or Paris bus stop. Being in the center of Paris means that your apartment will be within walking distance to many of the major monuments or a short subway or bus ride away.
What time is check-in?
Most of the time you will be able to check in upon arrival. In the rare instance that other guests are checking out on the same day you arrive, check-in can take place later, until 4PM. Check-in before 9AM or after 6PM, or on Sundays or French National holidays will be subject to a $75 surcharge at the time of reservation.
Are the
homes serviced?
As you are renting a private home, it is not serviced, you are expected
to self-cater. We can however assist with organizing maid service
on request during your stay, for this there would be a charge. We
will, of course, clean the property at the end of your stay.
Is there airport shuttle service provided?
We will be happy to reserve a taxi for you. The taxi company we work with charges 85 € for up to three guests and 125 €for 4-8 guests, which is payable directly to the driver. The driver will wait for you after customs with a sign.
Are your apartments air-conditioned?
We do have several apartments that are air-conditioned, a rare feature in Paris where most apartments and many hotels are not. We are happy to direct you to our air-conditioned rentals.
Do I need to bring towels or linens?
All of our apartments provide towels and linens, as well as l’Occitane soaps, shampoos, conditioners and body lotions.
When will my security deposit be returned?
The security deposit is cashed upon submission, and will be returned seven business days after the last day of occupancy.
How safe are the neighborhoods around my rental?
The neighborhoods surrounding our apartments are among the safest in Paris. We want you to feel comfortable taking evening strolls, and walking on your own. Our apartments are only in the safest Paris neighborhoods.(we should probably add that Paris is overall a very safe City)
How about Telephone, DSL/Wifi and Computer?
All of our apartments have a telephone. In most of our apartments calls are free to the US, Canada, England, Australia and several other countries. Local calls are free (except to cell phones in France). All of our apartments have free unlimited DSL, most have Wifi; several apartments provide computers.
Who is responsible for cleaning and maintenance of the property?
Paris Luxury Rentals employs its own staff of cleaners and greeters. Many rental companies contract with outside sources for these very important duties or rely on the owners for cleaning and maintenance. We feel there is no substitute for our own ‘head of housekeeping’ who can check to make sure that everything is in place, and sparkling, and up to our own high standards. Having our own staff in place locally also means that we can respond quickly to special requests or problems, should they arise. We also have a team of plumbers, electricians and carpenters who have worked with us for many years that we rely on for quick response when needed.
What is the minimum length of stay in your Paris vacation apartments?
Our minimum cost on most rentals is for seven nights.
May we arrive at our flat on any day of the week?
Yes, rentals can begin and end on the day you choose. We feel this allows greater flexibility in booking air travel and allows for the best fares.
On some apartments, during the month of June, which is the peak of the high season, we request a 2 weeks minimum, Saturday to Saturday stay, if booked more than three months in advance

What are your cancellation terms?
You can see our rental agreement here. If renting any of our properties,
you agree to respect the terms of our agreement. We strongly recommend that you look into purchasing Travel Insurance in should unexpected cancellation become necessary. We are happy to recommend several reputable companies should you wish to protect your travel investment in this way.
If we rent a Paris vacation apartment from you, how do we know you’re legit?
We have been recommended by several publications including Forbes, American Airlines Magazine, the Washington Post and the Great Sleeps in Paris guide book. In addition, we are happy to refer you to numerous previous guests in the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil and elsewhere who would be happy to tell you about their experiences with us. We also post our customer feedback on each apartment page and invite you to send yours after your stay! We pride ourselves in having many returning customers and it is our sincere hope that each new rental is the beginning of a relationship that continues, and not a one-time deal.
We are traveling with young children; can you provide a crib, stroller or high chair?
Absolutely, we can provide anything you might need to make your youngest guests comfortable for a small fee. We can also refer you to a reputable babysitting service. Please be sure to ask.
Are your apartments fully equipped; is there anything we need to bring?
We want you to feel at home the moment you arrive. We have provided everything we think you would require in your own home including bed linens, towels, appliances, dishes and cookware. We describe each apartment in detail on our website and you will see that where possible we have installed full size refrigerators/freezers, ovens, microwaves, washer (and in most apartments dryers), toasters and coffee makers.
Are the pictures and views on your site accurate representations of what we will be renting?
Yes. We consistently maintain and improve our apartments during the quiet months. We update pictures regularly. They are provided in good faith and in the belief that they are accurate based on the latest information received. However, Paris Luxury Rentals declines all responsibility for any modifications made by the owners without our knowledge.
How far ahead should we book our Paris Vacation rental?
The best apartments, with views and balconies or/and with A/C are booked up to six months in advance, often by returning guests. We recommend you contact us for availability as soon as you know your travel dates.
Is smoking allowed?
Sorry, all our apartments are non-smoking.
May we bring a small pet?
Sorry, we do not allow pets. Many guests have allergies and we try to provide an antigen-free environment.
How do we book one of your Paris vacation rental apartments?
Please call us or email us to confirm availability when you are ready to book. Our representatives are very familiar with all of out properties. They will gladly offer advice according to your preferences. We will follow-up with detailed instructions on the next steps. We ask for a 50% payment up front, with the remainder plus refundable security deposit 45 days before arrival. If you are booking within 45 days, we ask for full payment up front. Upon receipt of the deposit we will send all the necessary information: apartment instructions, greeter information and acknowledgement of your payment.
