LOCATION
Centrally located on the South side of Ile Saint-Louis, one of the most requested areas of Paris, this luxurious and exceptional property is a short walking distance from many major sites such as Le Louvre, Notre Dame and Saint-Germain-des-Pres. The Seine river is ever present as one walks the small streets or crosses over the many bridges.
DESCRIPTION
Rough-iron bars decorate the large double-pane windows on the outside of the 16th century building while the breathtaking beauty of this 900 sq. ft apartment is evident from the first steps taken inside.
Heavy wood beams adorn the ceiling in the living room where the grand mantelpiece, beautiful in its simplicity, is bathed by the afternoon sun.
Throughout the apartment, careful attention was given to every detail in the classy decoration while preserving the spirit of the period.
Tapestry, curtains and cushions harmoniously complement the beautiful architecture. Even the furniture will give you a sense of what it was like living in the 18th century.
From the open-plan fully-equipped kitchen to the marble bathrooms, every room offers a surprise but none more than the rooms on the basement level that is accessed by a circular wooden stairway. With its striking vaulted stone ceiling, hardwood floors and cozy atmosphere, this area is perfect to relax after a long walking visit of Paris.
The second bedroom as well as a marble and tile decorated bathroom are also on this level. This is a truly Parisian experience you are not about to forget!
For food lovers, the proximity of rue Saint-Louis-en-l'Ile will be a serious plus. Indeed, this street boosts some of the best food shops in Paris. Bakeries, cheese and wine shops, renown meat shops and grocery stores all vie for your attention, not to mention the numerous small cafés, restaurants and book stores.
And for the very serious food-lover, the legendary Tour d'Argent, one of France's most famous restaurant, is only a few minutes walk away on the quai de Tournelle.
